Surprising source, good mozzarella

I was browsing for a simple family dinner this afternoon, and was very pleasantly surprised at the Potomac Yards Shoppers Food Warehouse.

The DeLallo olive bar had some very nice olives (some selections are a bit too "tricked up" for me, but the plainer selections are quite respectable) - also on the bar was the "star" of the evening meal: quarter-size balls of fresh mozzarella in olive oil with fresh basil. Yum!

I know I've seen half-gallon tubs of this at Restaurant Depot, but who can use that much while it's still fresh?

The olives, mozzarella, some crusty bread and butter and honey and beer made a great "gosh the weather turned hot" dinner!
