I was going to the New Wing Yuen Market in Sunnyvale, when I looked over at the Parc Hong Kong as I usually do. I noticed that the windows and front door were all pasted over from within with newspaper! Upon further inspection as I got closer, I saw a sign saying "closed for remodeling" and a copy of an application to the city of Sunnyvale for new ownership. The Parc Hong Kong has unfortunately finally gone out of business and is being replaced by new ownership. It seemed to be doing well in the day time with dim sum but perhaps struggled with business in the evenings.
In the New Wing Yuen Market, I asked the checker/owner for information and she said that the new owner next door is from Oakland and has ongoing business in Oakland. When the new place will open for business is unknown. What will happen to the skilful Parc H. K. cooks (salt pepper crab), one of which reputedly came from R & G Lounge in S. F. some time ago remains to be seen.
Maybe Yimster knows and can tell us more?
