Mediocre food, bad service but great room and great company!
We were a large group celebrating a birthday. Marcus the Manager ended up as our waiter and boy oh boy, did he so not want to be. He was unfocused, inattentive, rude, curt, haughty, challenging and seriously lacking in customer service. Not the ingredients for a very good waiter and definitely not as a manager!
The food was mediocre. The gazpacho was too acidic to swallow beyond the first couple of mouthfuls. The duck terrine was very average, the Caesar salad was bland and the Caprese salad was tasty. The entrees were hit and miss: the rib-eye steak was bland and inconsistently cooked (there were 7 ordered at the table and only 2 were done right), the breaded sole was more breaded than sole and the batter was heavily oiled. The warm chicken tenderloin salad seemed to be the only winner. The cream cheese chocolate cake looked liked a hostess cupcake and was pretty dry. The berry and chocolate pecan tarts were average and Costco-like and the zesty key lime tart was so not zesty and very Lime-less!
I think we can take this place off the list of places to check out, theyre not very interested in luring any new customers back! No one in our group of 16 will be returning there, much better options elsewhere in the city.
