My partner and I are in a hotel on 35th between 7th & 8th and my nieces (ages 23 &27) are up on 75th on the east side of town for the weekend. We are all in NYC because Sandy has temporarily chased us out of our hometown of Hoboken (none of us have had power since the night of the storm). Needless to say we are in need of cheering up and a good dinner where we can have a few drinks, great food and unwind. We are looking for somewhere in between our two locations. Money is not usually a problem for my partner and me, but we don't want to spend a fortune in light of what has happened. While my nieces are both employed professionals, they need to watch their budgets. Also, our dress is very casual; jeans, cargo pants, pullover shirts, etc.; did not have time or forethought to pack something a little dressier. That said, if we could get away with about $60 per person including a drink or two each that would be great. All cuisines are fine except for seafood heavy restaurants as one niece is not a fan at all. I'm usually better at finding a place myself, but I am so fried right now I really cannot focus. Thanks for any help!
