Had a fantastic meal at the bar at Street and Co. last night: probably the best meal I've had since I moved to Maine. Just a really wonderful time!
We split a variety of things: oysters on the half shell (two types, don't remember)-perfect. Incredible clams cooked in tomato and saffron with chorizo: I literally could have mopped up every drop of sauce with the good bread provided.
We had two small tastes: a crostini with apricot and gorgonzola--delicious--and a tortilla with chorizo and gouda that was the only so-so item we ordered.
For mains, we split the sole francaise, cooked in a delicate egg batter. I absolutely loved this. So delicate and perfectly cooked.
For dessert, a decent chocolate cake with creme anglaise sent us home happy.
All of this with four drinks came to right around $110. A bargain, AFAIK.
For shame, Anthony Bourdain!
