Stir Fry at Six and Twelve

just came back from lunch at Six and Twelve (at 6th and 12th!) and had an amazing stir fried rice and veggie with tofu. it take about 10 minutes to prepare after you order, but it's well worth it - every piece of every vegetable (carrots, zucchini, celery, squash, bell pepper, mushrooms, onion, and some other things i'm sure) has a deep caramelization, as does each piece of tofu. Nothing mushy or undercooked about this stir fry. I had mine with brown rice, and I would say the proportion of rice to veggies/tofu is 1 to 1 - a nice mix. It's served steaming *steaming* hot, and there's plenty for 2 (or for dinner). I think they use a light soy based sauce, but it's not overwhelming - the veggies still sing, and the dish is fairly dry - it's not dripping by any means.. for $6.99, considering the quantity, a great bargain. especially on a cold wet day like this.
