My family--husband, daughter and parents-in-law--are staying at the Tenaya Lodge this weekend. We've booked the Ahwannee for brunch on Sunday and don't want to spend a huge amount for dinner on Saturday. We've all eaten at Erna's, love it, but don't want to fork out that kind of cash this time around. We love all types of food and cost isn't a huge consideration (just not Erna's through the roof prices).
I've checked out past Chowhound reports and think that either Savoury in Mariposa or La Cabana at North Fork might fit the bill. We adore good Mexican food and we're from the Bay Area so we have lots of great choices. Does La Cabana rate? Also, with snow/rain due this weekend, are either places not appropriate in terms of driving? Any other choices you might offer. We're coming in on Friday and leaving Sunday late afternoon.
I'd love to hear from you and promise to report back.
