We'll be coming off the Staten Island Ferry early on a Sunday morning and we're probably going to be coming off hungry. We'll get there around 7:30.
I've browsed the archives and it looks like Victory Boulevard has a lot of interesting restaurants. Is Victory within walking distance of the ferry stop? And would any of the restaurants be open so early on a Sunday?
We're looking for a solid breakfast and we're adventurous eaters. We like to walk.
I eat a gluten-free diet (no wheat, rye, barley, oats) and diner/Thai/Indian/Vietnamese/sushi is more workable than deli/traditional bakery/Irish/Italian/Chinese (soy sauce usually contains wheat.)
The reviews of Mai intrigued me, although I've not had Senegalese food. Dosa Garden sounds great. A bowl of pho is a great breakfast for me.
So, as we're getting off the ferry, which way do we turn and what do we look for?
