Stamford roundup

OK... been meaning to post a few things I've found recently in Stamford... Some of these I've tried... some I haven't. Would love some thoughts if anyone else has tried them.

***********************
* Grimaldi's Pizza and Mexican Deli - West Main, near West Ave. I'm always on the lookout for new mexican places and first saw this open a month or two ago. I went there a week ago and it was OK. All I got were tacos - chicken, carnitas, and chorizo, I believe. The chicken and carnitas were underwhelming, but the chorizo was very good. They have a very extensive menu which deserves exploration -- even though the tacos were just ok. Rolando's is still the best mexican in Stamford by far.

* Antojito's Guatemalan Place - (or something like that) It's next door to Rolando's on West Main and is affiliated, I presume, with the Chapinas Guatemalan bakery two doors down. I haven't tried this yet, but it's number 1 on my list. Guatemalan restaurants are not common - even in NYC. If this is good, it will be a big find.

* New Jamaican Restaurant (K&J's or something like that?) - West Broad St (next door to Domino's Pizza). I saw this place today driving by 40 miles an hour... I think it must have just opened. It's just down from the hospital. Anyone tried it? I'm really curious. My favorite jamaican in the area is still the West Caribbean Bakery on near the Midas dealership... Curious about this place.

* Layla's - CTEATS just posted about this in a thread the other day. I haven't tried yet, but felt I should include it since it's a newbie too.

I seem to think there have been other new places I've seen recently, but they don't come to mind right now. Anyhow, this can be a start.
