I want to make some Sriracha flavored mixed nuts in the oven for munching on with the family on Christmas Day. I've come across a several different recipes, all with different methods - but I've never made nuts this way and I'm not sure which to follow. Some call for egg whites others call for oil or butter as the coating. I think I'd prefer the egg white, but wanted to know the difference. Also, any suggestions on what to add other than Sriracha - I've seen a recipe on line that includes Rosemary but I'm not wild about that flavor in this case.
