Moving to Bucktown, and will be close to both Spring and Scylla. Was going to take the 'rents out for dinner near the new house, and was wondering which you would recommend given the following:
We're all reasonably adventurous diners, and the menus of both restaurants seem equally yummy. We'll be dining on a Tuesday, so noise levels shouldn't be that bad at either places--I hope!
The one requirement is service. I'm a stickler for service, and hate spending lots of $$ on a meal to deal with slow, rude, or incompetent servers. I'm assuming this isn't a problem at either restaurant, but just thought I'd ask.
Also, my father is, amongst other things, a serious oenophile, and I have inherited his passion for all things wine related. A restaurant with a good, balanced, well-rounded and reasonably priced wine list would be a joy.
So...Spring or Scylla?
Food, Service, Wine, Noise Levels...which comes out ahead?
