Sprig and Vine, open just three weeks, is a vegan restaurant in the Union Square complex just outside of downtown New Hope. Menu consists of apps, salads/greens, mains and desserts.
BYO. Preparation is imaginative: this is not a granola and grains type of restaurant. We enjoyed a fried baby artichoke appetizer, served over a chick pea salad, a beet salad, a risotto, a cauliflower dish with a puree of cauliflower served alongside a stuffed portobello mushroom and a "steak" of cauliflower. Servings were generous, prices average $25 per person for an app+main+shared dessert (I recommend the olive oil cake). Service was attentive.
Even if you're not a vegetarian, this is a reasonable choice for a well-prepared meal away from the crowds of downtown New Hope. It compares very favorably to my favorite vegan restaurant, New York's Dirt Candy.
