SPICEY BEEF MUSCLE (TENDON) SOUP OR OTHERWISE?

DOREEN | Feb 23, 2001 08:30 AM

Does anyone out there know of a place where I can get spicey beef muscle soup/stew (also translated as "tendon" on some Chinese menus) in the Elmhurst area? I used to get some great soup with noodles at a little place on Broadway known as "Tsoung Shin", but they went o/o business. Tried to make some myself--bought the beef tendon at Kam Lun Supermarket--it took at least three hours in a pressure cooker to soften a bit--quite a hassle. Great stuff--gelatinous like pigs feet, redolent with five-spice powder. Where can I find thee, oh tendon/muscle soup, around Elmhurst or environs these cold and cruel winter months?
