yesterday i was heading to chacarero for lunch. and it occurred to me how ridiculous it was to stand on line for 30 minutes for a sandwich (though i have done it dozens of times).
so i went next door to the taqueria there. is it called sabrosa? i had a bean and rice burrito for $5.50 with everything (includes guac and sour cream) and it was actually pretty good. particularly the tomatoes tasted really fresh. i think there was lettuce in it which i'm usually against being in a burrito, but i don't think it ruined it. the last couple of bites boast a spicy, tart, almost pickled hot sauce.
the place felt a little cheesy esp. with the frat-ish boy at the cash register and lot's of businessy girls getting quesadillas (hold everything). but i wasn't disappointed and the burrito didn't leave me feeling overly full as many do. the menu is short, they have burritos, quesadillas, and tacos i think. prices range from around $5 for tacos to $6.25 for a chicken or beef burrito.
