According to their answering machine, Sparrow (formerly Watergate) was supposed to reopen yesterday after a brief hiatus. Can anyone confirm this? Did anyone swing by last night?
The menu still seems to have a French-Asian-Fusion flair to it, but one item stood out to me: a foie gras sandwich with bananas and thai chile jam. I've never had a foie gras sandwich. Can anyone comment on it?
(PS--I know Chicago is bracing for a foie gras ban. Does CA and/or SF have any plans for this?)
