Spanish grocery store somewhere in Queens?

Mirianne | May 7, 2004 12:07 PM

A while back the New York Times mentioned a grocery store in Queens that specialized in Spanish imported foodstuffs (jamon serrano, manchego, pimenton, you name it) at fairly reasonable prices. If I remember correctly, it was somewhere in Jackson Heights, on or near Roosevelt Avenue.

I've asked around and searched on the Internet to no avail. I even went to Jackson Heights and wandered the streets, but couldn't find it. It wasn't a total loss of a day, though, because I had lunch at Arunee Thai, one of my favorites. Has anybody else heard of this Spanish grocery store?

Thanks,
Mirianne
