Soy Luck Club, good coffee hangout

I've been going to the new Soy based coffee shop on Greenwich Ave since it opened last Friday. Things are still kind of rocky, toaster didn't work one day(they even have low carb soy bagels), espresso machine down another. Overall though the people there are really nice and it's a pleasant cleanly, designed place. Pretty much distraction free.

Not every drink includes soy luckily. There are some teas that work to varying degrees of success. The "soy luck club" blend tea was like a watered down Chai. The green tea latte was thick and satisfying though. Almost a meal, it was topped with green tea powder for effect. Coffee is by Illy and varies from very good to acceptable according to freshness but it's always better than Starbucks.

The best part is though they have totally FREE wireless (and wired) internet access. It's the perfect place to get work done, indoors or on the chairs outside.

Enjoy,
Frank
