Formerly Souperman

I brought in some soup today for lunch from the place formerly known as Souperman, in the Wall Street area (right by Goldman Sachs). The awning says "Soup etc." but I'm not sure what the real name is.

In any event, I bought the Mexican Chicken. I've had mixed reactions since the place changed ownership (including being disappointed with the Cream of Mushroom, the shrinking size of the pieces of bread, and the lack of a chocolate in my bag) but I had to let you know how good the Mexican Chicken soup was today.

A nice kick to it, but not overly spicy-hot. There are chunks of chicken that actually taste like good roasted chicken (having chicken with real flavor shocked me). Lots of corn kernels, all perfectly crisp. Onion, celery, scallions. All very good. It's a little pricey but worth it once in a while -- especially once the weather turns colder.
