Went for lunch today to this three-week-old Italian with wood-burning pizza oven. Ordered tuna carpaccio (decent) and pizza with peppers and sausage. The pizza was forgettable -- while I was eating it. A very thin, but soft, crust, with no personality to speak of. Eh.
If it's pizza you're after, there's no reason to choose this place over 2 Amy's or Vace; and if you're looking for a great mid-price meal in the heart of Cleveland Park, this joint pales in comparison to the Bar at Palena, Indique, Lavandou, Spices, even Nam Viet.
Now here I took one for the team so that we'd all know about a potentially promising newcomer. Alas, 'twas not worth the effort -- but someone had to try it. Now, in exchange for saving you from a medicore meal, y'all owe me a really great suggestion for something new and delicious for lunch!
