Walked past the place several times, every time making a mental note to give it a whirl. Checked the board archives only to find conflicting opinions (that's a surprise), most which were outdated.

Opening the menu alarmed me a little, just based on the prices alone (~$15 entrees). Never thought Mexican food could be this pricey. Now I'm a little suspicious, but I'm certainly not gonna walk past this place again with that same burning curiosity, so I'm staying put.

Had the "Enchiladas de Mole Verde" (with beef), and friend had shrimp fajitas. Enchiladas were topped with mole sauce, and served with rice & refried beans (go figure) and slaw on the side. Mole sauce didn't quite have the color I'm familiar with (this was more greenish), but was still very good. Had that complex flavor to it, but despite the complexity, still felt that there was something missing. Have no clue what, as there are about a million things that go into it, but just something lacking (well, for one, it didn't have the smokiness that i'm used to). Still pretty good, but have had better mole (not at Tacos el Charro though). Sangria was very good. Chips were blah, but salsa pretty nice and spicy. Didn't try the shrimp fajitas, but they looked good and there was nothing left of 'em after about 7mins.

Pretty good, but my impression is that Tu Y Yo is probably a better option for the Mexican dish-type meals. Haven't tried TYY, but I really look forward to the day that I do.

There are alot of interesting things on the menu at this place though, so don't rule it out on my account.
