We were very excited to try this restaurant this past week and it didn't disappoint. Although just a short drive from Wilson, you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere in a very good way. The restaurant is set on a farm complete with horses and guest rooms and the grounds are very pretty. After pulling into their entrance, you immediately get the sense that you've been transported to a country estate far away and good things are about to happen.
The dining room is very quaint and has a rustic feel to it with all kinds of neat old wood. They have a small but well-chosen wine and beer list, but no liquor. Service was very attentive throughout our meal. The frequently changing menu was right up my alley on our visit as it was studded with lobster. It's a four course meal, with two options on all but the first course. Highlights included a perfectly cooked pork belly appetizer, lobster-tomato cappucino, butter poached lobster tail, sliced sirloin flap steak and watermelon sorbet with tequila gelee. Fun dinner with great food and service.
