Thanks to all the Chowhounds who posted about Snack and the good things to eat there, I went last nite for a quick bite to eat after a big lunch at Cafe Boloud (previous report).
We had the recommended spinach pie and butter bean salad. The spinach pie was good, not the best I've ever had. Actually, Citarella makes a good in their prepared food section. The butter bean salad was very good, in an oil and garlic dressing with onions over arugala greens. Just the right combination. Also had the mint lemonade which I liked because it was not excessively sweet like most restaurant's. Will try to make it at home. Have previously made blueberry lemonade which came out rather nicely and added only 2/3 the amount of sugar called for in the recipe.
It was a small restaurant as described, 10 seats only and very casual and inexpensive just what we were looking for and exactly at the place we needed to be. So thanks fellow Chowhounds, I've gotten so many great suggestions and input from everyone!
