My husband and I are coming to NYC on Friday for the weekend and we're planning to go to either Barney Greengrass or Russ + Daughters. Btw, thanks to all of you who already helped us plan our trip. I've had plenty of nova, whitefish, sable, baked salmon, etc. in my day, but I've never had sturgeon. What is it like? How do you eat it - on a bagel? with eggs? If I'm getting a bagel with 1/2 nova and 1/2 sable, am I making a mistake by not trying the sturgeon? Thanks!
