How to slice Angel Food Cake layers easily?

To all the bakers out there...

I am working on a recipe that involves many thin layers of Angel Food Cake but I am having trouble slicing them. Is there a trick? Because of the sticky nature of the sponge and lack of fat content my knife keeps gumming up and destroying the layers. Should I be freezing the cake first to make it easier? I have been using a serrated knife with a saw action with little pressure...

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
