An out of town chowhound visiting SF.
The setting: tonight...a clear full moon night with dockside seating overlooking the Bay Bridge.
The ambience, a buzz, a full house and yet careful attentive service.
The food: Among many dishes, the standouts of which were:
Crispy Vegetarian Imperial Rolls - a mint inspired tasty lettuce wrap.
Brick oven roasted Dungeness crab - fresh, succulent meat in a light buerre sauce
The hightlight main dishes: Caramelized plantation shrimp - a mysterious and unusually flavourful sauce accompanied the whole (heads on) fresh shrimp.
Pan seared day boat scallops - can you say melt in your mouth.
Topped off by a not too sweet Chocolate Pot au Feu with Creme Fraiche.
Wow!! An enjoyable dinner, company and evening.
