Siraco - the knife sharpening store is closing!!

A recent post inquiring about places to get your knives sharpened prompted me to finally go to Siraco to get my knives sharpened.

They told me they were closing at the end of April but they want all items to be picked up before April 15th. Apparently, there wasn't enough foot traffic in that area.

What they want to do is set up some places in the city (example, somewhere in Cambrige) where you would drop off your knives and they would pick them up, take them somewhere to be sharpened and return them to same spot. Another option would be to mail the knives to them and they would in turn, mail your knives back to your home.

Doesn't seem like the details are set yet. You need to call them when you are ready. They are going to use the same phone number, 617-628-6071.

Just wanted to pass this along so any of you chowhounders don't make a false trip out to their shop.
