Silver Seafood Downhill?

Have other folks visited Silver Seafood lately? I know Shannon enjoyed it when he posted in Novemeber, but I had a pretty unsatisfactory meal there on New Year's Eve. The old favorite, salt and pepper cuttlefish and squid was over fried to a leathery texture: especially the hunks of cuttlefish. Potstickers were fried on the bottom and cool on top. Baby Bok Choy were fine, but the pepper spare ribs (which are actually short ribs) were tougher than optimal and bland.

The only star of the meal was the duck-skin pancake part of the peking duck presentation, which was savory and tasty and crisp, but the actual duck meat stirfry was sort of sweet and sour and uncompelling. And isn't there usually a third duck course with peking duck? A soup?

We also had a whole steamed sea bass, which was cooked perfectly, but the soy/vinegar/ginger broth underneath was tasteless.

The place was busy but not packed; service was fine, and the food arrived in good time, but it was a far cry from the Silver Seafood of my early visits. I'd be curious to hear if anyone else has had negative meals there or if I should chalk this meal up to a fluke.
