I absolutely love shrimp de jonghe - when I was growing up we had it a lot at random Italian restaurants that my grandparents took us to on the SW side/suburbs. When I was older and I moved to Andersonville, a place on Clark St called Calo Ristorante did an incredible shrimp de jonghe.
I've lived in England for the past 10 years and get back home once a year, and every time I go back I say I'm going to try to find a great shrimp de jonghe but I never do. So I'm visiting again in a month and this time, it's personal. I will be in the SW suburbs and also in the Old Irving area but can extend my reach a little further for something really good.
I've tried Googling but it's spelled so randomly - shrimp de jonghe, shrimp de jonge, scampi de jonge etc that I thought, nah, someone on Chowhound will surely know where I can get my fix. Thanks!
