Shin-Sen Gumi (Hakata Ramen) Anyone?

I haven't seen anyone post about this place, so I thought I'd have to say something. This is definitely the BEST ramen I've had, period. I've been to two of their many locations:

Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen Restaurant (Gardena)
2051 W. Redondo Beach Blvd., #C, Gardena, CA 90247
Phone: (310) 329-1335

Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen Restaurant (Rosemead)
8450 E. Valley Blvd. #103, Rosemead, CA 91770
Phone: (626) 572-8646

Let's see... where do I start? Their broth is amazing... pretty much transparent - a true sign of good, slow-cooked broth. It takes almost like liquid meat, very flavorful! It's nice because you can choose the levels of taste for everything. For example, noodles - soft, medium, hard; oil (light, medium, heavy); soup base (light, medium, heavy); etc. It comes with green onion and ginger, but you can ask them to exclude anything you don't want. One warning though, if you're a big meat eater (chasu), don't expect much. They give you 3 slices of thinly sliced pork, but that's it. But if you're like me, in that I go for the noodles and soup, you won't be disappointed!

In addition, they have lots of other items on the menu. If you go during lunch, your selection is a bit limited, but you can get all the basics (noodles, gyoza, chicken rice, etc.) for a really good lunch combination price. If you go during dinner, everything is a la carte (no combination specials), but they have LOTS of small appetizers to try.

Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone else has been here, since I haven't seen anyone post about it. I'm a big ramen eater, and nothing I've had in LA even compares!
