We're doing a long weekend in SF soon (from SD so we're looking for some great local fare), my teens are very good about trying anything. Things we especially like that we can't really get in SD: asian noodles, authentic Italian, SF seafood. I've read about Slanted Door--worth it? Also, we love real Chinese food like from Chinatown in NYC. What would you recommend in Chinatown or SF in general. We're probably staying in the Embarcadero but will travel. We probably don't want any real high end stuff but will go from very modest food and up. Also, is the Farmer's Mkt on Sat in the Ferry Building a good place to try breakfast?
