Seppi's - review

Ok, we finally made our decision and went to Seppi's for our first anniversary dinner, simply because it's in the Parker Meridien, which is where we had our wedding reception.
It's a very attractive bistro, and I thought the food was quite good. Really great warm french bread, I had four pieces with their lovely, very fresh sweet butter. We started with escargot, which came with a pesto rather than the standard garlic butter. Nice, but nothing special. I had a rack of lamb, cooked nicely to order, with coarsely mashed potatoes with garlic, I think, and some sauteed spinach. My husband had osso buco with the usual risotto milanese. I didn't try it, but he thought it was very good. Neither of these is especially imaginative, I admit, but were solidly executed, and served in quantity. The service was very attentive and pleasant. We aren't wine drinkers, so I can't speak to that aspect. I think it's a really pleasant place for a drink or a meal, and while it won't change you life, I definitely recommend it.
