Had a chance to check out Secretes on Friday with my GF and had a lovely experience. Stopped by Astor to pick up a great bottle of Priorat as its still BYO, walked over with no reservation and were seated promptly.
Restaurant was about 3/4 full and a really nice space. I loved the small open kitchen and overall warmth of the place.
Portions were normal for a "tapas" style, we ordered 6 items for two of us and were fully sated. The highlights were the Cucumber spaghetti, Lobster, stuffed zucchini flower & seared duck. My GF absolutely loved the duck and my personal favorite was the ostrich. The only item I didn't love was the stuffed squid, presentation was rather unappetizing, temperature wasn't all that warm and squid & rice stuffing were bit to chewy. Other than that, I was very pleased. Honestly, the service couldn't have been better, really professional & well trained.
Total before tip was $75 & totally worth it IMO. I would urge everyone to check Secretes out and will be heading back soon myself to see how things are progressing.
