Seafood with my teenagers

First, I visit this board often and appreciate all of the recos and advice and opinions of the New York chowhounds!
I am coming to NYC this weekend, with my 19 and 16 year old boys. I visit 2-3 times a year and enjoy many different places. I am looking for a place to take my sons for great seafood. I have been to Mary's Fish Camp and Pearl's Oyster Bar, and both are great. But I am looking for something with a bigger menu and perhaps a bit more comfortable and ""old school" if you know what I mean. They always enjoyed the food and ambiance at the late, greatly lamented Joe Muer's in Detroit. Something for a fine dining experience, not a Red Lobster joint. In fact, Oyster Bar at GCS fits the bill, and I go sit at the bar every visit for a dozen oysters or so, but I read everywhere that the rest of the food sucks. Any recommendations?? And please, no crudo - they don't like oysters or sushi and won't do that either.
