Seafood in Harahan & Saltwater Grill

My husband and I tried a new place in Harahan recently - its called Seither's Seafood (on Hickory). We bought crawfish & shrimp from their seafood market during Jazzfest (and for other boils this summer), and were really pleased - so we wanted to try the restaurant they opened next door. Its a small place, many fried offerings - and their daily specials have warranted a return trip. My husband had some yellowfin tuna that was great ($8.99), with garlic mashed potatoes & I had a nice oyster po-boy. Their daily specials sound great - fried fish & jambalaya, crabcakes, etc. The owner said he goes fishing often (for his seafood market next door) so its great to have a place closer to our area where we can buy fresh fish. They also do all-you-can-eat boiled crabs for $10.95 - but not sure what night that is. Also, we recently tried Saltwater Grill, too - it used to be a Cucos restaurant. I actually had a shrimp remoulade salad (nice sized shrimp on spinach leaves); my husband had the spinach salad with blue cheese & fried oysters (outta this world - really BIG salad)...Great atmosphere, friendly people and really delicious fried oysters (did I mention I love fried oysters?).
