Someone posted recently asking about sushi places in Seattle and particularly California rolls.
I've eaten a couple of times at Shiki on Roy at the bottom of Queen Anne (kind of a hidden location as it's just west of Queen Anne Avenue, but worth finding). The California rolls were great (yes, real crab!). Actually, everything my dining partners and I sampled was great. Very fresh sashimi, and the tonkatsu portion was generous and tasty. Other things coming out of the kitchen looked great.
The service is nice and attentive.
Only downside I can see is that the restaurant is small, without many seats at the sushi bar. I can see this being a problem if there are events at Key, but I've never had a problem getting seated. Anyone had trouble? Anyone else with experience at this restaurant, or advice on other dishes to try?
For my money, this is might be my favorite sushi place in Queen Anne and Belltown/downtown right now!
