[SEA] Belltown (and environs) for Saturday Night Casual Dinner/Dessert

We are two Phoenix chowhounds who are coming to Seattle for a quick weekend getaway and we’re looking for a place for dinner on Saturday night. Our desires, in a nutshell, are:

1. somewhat casual, perhaps a small plates type of place;
2. within walking distance or a short cab ride from our hotel at 1st Ave and Wall St.;
3. not heavy on the seafood (I know, Seattle has incredible seafood to offer, but we just don’t like it);
4. no reservations required.

I have been looking over past posts on the board and am intrigued by Harvest Vine and also thought The Sitting Room might be a good spot for us -- do these places fit the above criteria? Will we be able to get into Harvest Vine on a Saturday night?

Also, to maximize our exposure to Seattle chow on our short trip, we thought we might like to go somewhere different for dessert after our Saturday night dinner. Any recommendations for cafes or restaurants with great desserts in the same general vicinity?

Thanks Seattle hounds, I promise to reciprocate with any Phoenix chow advice you might need.
