As someone who is allergic to shrimp, I'm a big fan of China New Star's (in the Marine Park area) wonton soup. Their version is chicken broth with bits of pork and bok choi, and the wontons themselves have thick wrappers and generous balls of pork inside. Authentic? I doubt it. But it's manna from heaven as far as I'm concerned, especially when I'm feeling poorly.
Sadly, I no longer live in that area, and while Park Slope has many wonderful food choices, I find their soup lacking. Red Hot's is passable, and I didn't discover until too late that Noodle on Seven uses shrimp in their wontons (No trip to the emergency room necessary, but that was an uncomfortable night). Can anyone reccommend a place to get this sort of Wonton soup in Park Slope, preferably by delivery? Thanks in advance!
