My friend just returned to Savoy in Soho as chef de cuisine, so I was anxious to try it again... We showed up for Lunch, and were disapointed to find that Jody wasn't on, but the disappointment evaporated as we had such a wonderfully pleasant, luxurious even, yet utterly unpretensious lunch!
Small plates are the way to go! Young grilled beef with chimmichurri, so beautiful!, A paste of peppers, walnuts, and I think pomegranate molasses divine, especially with their housemade flatbreads! Fava Bean fritters with cilantro salsa... Lamb kebabs perfectly seasoned...
Finish with Sour Cherry Gallette with Lemon Cream!!!!!!
