We'll be in New Orleans next weekend celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. We live in Los Angeles. We're having dinner on Friday, our actual anniversary, at Commander's Palace.
I need a suggestion for Saturday evening. I am allergic to shellfish & my husband doesn't eat pork. The concierge at our hotel made a reservation for us at Upperline but the chowhounds on this board don't seem to care for it much.
We're looking for something nice & memorable. It doesn't have to be fancy but cost is not an issue. We'd love something unique to New Orleans but Commander's Palace may be that place. I asked the concierge to make a reservation at Stella! but she thought it wasn't unique which is why she suggested Upperline.
Can you help me out?
The following night, Sunday, we'll be at Monmouth Plantation in Natchez, which I understand is a pretty formal, multi-course affair.
