Santarpio's

is the perfect remedy on a dreary winter friday to overcome a bad week.
4 of us treated ourselves to an extended lunch, we took a 10 minute ride on the blue line to Maverick Sq, then a 5 minute walk down the street to Santarpio's. As we approached the smell of sauce and cheese then grilled lamb and sausage pulled us in.
Without hesitation we were seated and we ordered.
The grilled lamb and sausage arrived first w/ fresh italian bread and peppers, we devoured them, then came our pizza's, 1 well done sausage and onion and 1 well done pepperoni(as ordered). split decision on which was better, it was a difficult choice. my choice wasthe sausage and onion as the onions were soft and sweet and just enough sausage and cheese, the crust is thin and just crispy enough to hold the toppings. by unamimous vote we extended our meal and had dessert of another order of lamb and sausage. The red wine served by the carafe was also loved by all.
