Just moved to SC from LA and trying to get connected to the food scene here to comfort me during this adjustment period. I love all kinds of seafood, and being so close to the ocean, I'm hoping to find some good seafood eats and markets.
Tried Stagnaro's one night and thought that my sand dabs were ok, but still searching for the freshest seafood that doesn't cost $$$$. Heard that Riva's is popular but their menu seemed to have a tex-mex twist that I'm not always in the mood for. I like my fish to be fresh and straightforward in prep; hole-in-the-wall type places where I'm not paying for the decor or attitude are ideal.
Restaurant (including sushi!) and fish market suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
