Sandwiches in San Pedro

Found an incredibly good deli in San Pedro. It's in an unlikely place - in a liquor store called the Beach City Market. Had a fantastic pulled pork sandwich, just $6.99 for an 8-incher. The proprietor, a mad foodie known as Bucky gave me a taste of his hand-made pastrami. I think it might be the best I've ever had - mild, tender and bursting with flavor. I wish this joint was in my neighborhood because the rest of the extensive sandwich menu really got my mouth watering. This place is a little off the beaten path, but worth a detour if you're in the vicinity. I'm looking forward to trying Bucky's Cuban sandwich and the "Big Kahuna" which according to the menu is honey ham, slow roasted pork, swiss cheese and grilled pineapple slices. He's also got daily soups and hot entrees. Can't wait to go back. It's at 2801 S. Pacific Ave., in San Pedro, at corner of Pacific & 28th.
