Sandwich de la Terre

Not used to writing reviews so bear with me.. Went to the bakery at sel de la terre today and had a great sandwich (to go). I am not a fan of sanwiches but this was no ordinary sammy. Lusiously soft and airy ciabatta with a bernaise aioli, grilled portabello, roasted red &yellow peppers and a thin slice of cheese (mild cheddar?) The ciabatta soaked up the aioli like you might use a slice of bread to sop up the remains of a delicious sauce. The outer crust added a nice chewy tecture and some substance to an otherwise very soft sanwich. The thin strips of portabello were meaty and had a nice earthy mushroom flavor. These are not the slimy flavorless portabello mushrooms you might find elsewhere. The peppers nicely complemented the aioli. My only suggestion would be that the cheese could have played a more prominant role. The bakery at SdlT will definitely become part of my weekly lunch rotation.
