I just bought a loaf of white bread from this bakery at a San Pablo Market. I liked it. I liked the fact that there were mainly natural ingrediants like flour, yeast, sugar, butter and salt. There was only one preservative ... and ok, some partly hydroginated vegetable oil ... but it was last on the list and NO hfcs ... none ... $1.99 for a 1.4 lb loaf.
It is an odd looking loaf ... perfectly square, very light crust and solid. It is light with a slight sweet yeastiness. I mean, it's white bread ... but good for its category.
I'll probably go back and check out their Hawaiian bread.
Does anyone know if the address on the label is a retail bakery. Do they just sell wholesale? Has anyone else tried anything by this bakery?
