dropped by couple days ago and somewhat dissapointed given the recent accolades..
bread had wayyy too much salt on it.
Foie gras & eel - veiniest (sp?) foie gras I've ever had, not particularly appetizing cutting into it and encountering all the strings, also liver was light on the fat. Pastry over eel was a little soggy and not fluffy.
Lobster and sea urchin sauce with chesnut puree - lobster was well cooked, chestnut puree did nothing for the dish and I thought the sea urchin sauce was "muddy" tasting.
highlight for the nite was the warm chocolate cake with chocolate sorbet. By the way, check out the similarities to a previous dinner posting at studiokitchen, strikingly similar.
