Salad with Great Steak Tips at Ravioli's in Newton

Thanks to the post about 10 days ago about Ravioli's in Newton I tried it today. I had the best steak tips I can remember. I ordered a Caesar salad with tips and got a big bowl of industrial strength romaine (the dark green kind), almost tasteless cheese shreds and croutons, but it was covered with wonderful, juicy, still sizzling (!), flavorful grilled steak tips. Their menu says salads serve 2, and I think it is true for most folks. I took almost half of it home. The dressing (comes on the side) was OK, probably from a big vat out back, but those steak tips were worth a trip any time. The cost is $7.50 for tips over Garden or Caesar salad, 7.95 over Greek. I saw the Greek salad going to another table and it looked good. My son had a slice of perfectly OK pepperoni pizza with a nicely charred crust and so far that's all we tried. They have lots of great sounding pizzas on the menu, but I'm going back for the steak tips.

Ravioli's, Newton Four Corners, 1134 Beacon St.
