Saigonique opinions

Just tried Saigonique at Shirlington Village, a French Vietnamese restaurant by Busboys & Poets. I had a pretty decent dish of chicken in a coconut curry sauce with potatoes, rice, carrots and spring onions; my girlfriend was happy with her vegetarian stir fry. A lot of the dishes sounded great, and I regret that didn't have room to sample appetizers and soup. Service was friendly, and it's a sharp space. I was surprised, though, to find no desserts on the menu. And no liquor license yet; must be pretty new. I'm curious to hear others' takes on the restaurant. Are there similar options in the area you'd suggest?
