Ate a relatively new Moroccan restaurant on the Lower East Side called Sago (19 Clinton Street)last night. The Lamb tagine ($13) was very good, as was the merguez (spicy lamb sausage) which we had as part of an appetizer sampler ($9). They have morrocan cookies and French desserts, so I had a lemon tart, which was good.
All in all, it is an affordable Moroccan restuarant with good food. It was mentioned in the Times last week as part of a new wave of Moroccan places.
The place has belly dancers Thursday nights, but I went on a Friday night.
