I am sad to report the passing of my brother, Veggo.
Veggo loved the camaraderie of Chowhound and thoroughly enjoyed swapping witty comments and food ideas. He traveled to more places than most people will dream of going, ate in some of the finest places, and could hold his own in the kitchen. Veggo didn't seem to need a cookbook like I do; he had an ability to put things together that just tasted good. His experiences, love of writing, and food interests made him a good fit at Chowhound. Like most of us, his life wasn't all roses - he had his life challenges, health issues, and family squabbles. But he marched on, and marched as far as his body would take him. He was 61.
'Next time you sip a glass of wine, savor a piece of cheese, crack open a beer, cook a Mexican dish, enjoy a slice of New Haven apizza (Pepe's White Clam), eat a Stone Crab or take part in a lively Chowhound discussion, please take a moment to remember Veggo.
