Saag Paneer

When I was in Santa Monica, I had a marvelous saag paneer at a place called Gate of India; unlike the standard saag paneer, with a lightly spiced spinach and cubes of cheese, this was a much much creamier and spicier dish, with the cheese melting in. The color was a greenish yellow instead of a dark green. It was by far the best saag paneer I ever had.

My question is whether there are any Indian places on this coast that make saag paneer in this style. I saw it once in New York, but other efforts to duplicate my Santa Monica experience have generally been futile. In a number of places in DC, the saag paneer tastes of spinach and nothing else. I'm looking for something a bit more composition intensive.
